Based on the information we can infer that the person has chances of kidney failure. The partial pressure of
carbon dioxide is lower than normal value of 45 mm Hg. This indicates alkalosis which can be caused by
kidney dysfunction, diarrhoea etc.


 Prerenal ARF - This condition is where blood is not sufficiently reaching organs. This condition is
caused by dehydration,heart failure and atherosclerosis. The patient has these in his past medical
history (PMH).
 intrinsic ARF - This is damage within the kidneys caused by thrombosis, toxin accumulation and
vascular disease.
