Cálculo de la frecuencia:
Si llamamos ttotal al periodo de carga y descarga de C, podemos descomponerlo en:

ttotal = tON + tOFF

tOFF = Tiempo o periodo de carga de C, durante el cual, el UJT está bloqueado.

tON = Tiempo o periodo de descarga de C.

Normalmente, tOFF >> tON, por tanto podemos despreciar el valor de t ON
(comprobándolo posteriormente). Si partimos de la solución de la ecuación diferencial de
carga de un condensador a partir de una tensión continua:
