settings and prepare them for the real world of health care. Personal digital assistant (PDAs) is
first used by the public in the early 1990s. PDAs is a device to manage personal information, it
is capable of storing and exchanging large amounts of information that can be turned into hand
held computer and for this reason they have useful advantage for nursing students (Davidson et
al., 2010). Nursing student and health care professionals require access to the expanding
knowledge, and PDAs or other handheld computer devices can serve as valuable tools for
education, information storage, and retrieval in clinical practice. This paper will provide the use
of PDAs in nursing education and its advantages to health care.
THE USE OF PDA IN NURSING EDUCATION
PDA is a type of small, lightweight, and handheld device that can fit in one’s palm and assist
