The retirement age in the U.S. is increasing, owing to changes in unemployment plan
regulations, and more education. Even so, most workers today may look forward to long years of
retirement. Some retirees stay in their homes for more than 30 years. Although it does not take
place in every home, the level of hostility against the elderly is disturbingly elevated. In
summation, sociologists have recognized three major issues associated with aging: age of
retirement, ageism, and societal seclusion (Lehning,2014). Everyone ought to enjoy retirement as
much as possible.
Older adult needs are unending. However, this course has taught me many ways to
support policy changes. My community older adults experience neglect due to the recent rise of
economic and social needs. My community does not have many benefits for older adults because
of the restrictions and eligibility guidelines. There is no age limit for people living with
disabilities but for the older people at the organization I work. They can only be 60 years above
and must have Medi-Cal insurance to qualify for services. It also applies to the vulnerable
population. This organization also helps its clients get support, such as food stamps, disabilities,
housing allowances, and more. Earlier introduced plans at the macro, micro, and mezzo levels.
Macro
For many retirees, a deficit means slowing growth and a poor quality of life for the rest of
life (Morgan & Kunkel, 2016). Some difficulties at this level are joblessness, financial assistance
programs, and the Social Security Administration (SSA). In addition, the administration expects
the program to pay all promised benefits by 2040 (Retirement and Aging, 2022). I believe that
these challenges can be addressed by providing resources to address these deficiencies before
