Much ado revision (general notes):
- Romantic comedy basic plot - two main couples: beatrice and benedick, claudio and
hero. On one hand beatrice and benedick are both independent, outspoken and witty.
They are gulled into falling in love and end up getting married. Claudio woos hero and
they are gonna get married but don john tricks claudio into thinking hero is cheating so
he shames her, she fakes her death, then magically comes back after being cleared by
borachio and they also get married in the end
- You: formal
- Thou: informal
- ‘Nothing’ and ‘noting’ - truth and illusion (homophones)
- Repartee - wordplay that bounces between characters
- Prose: not loving, verse: loving but structured
