Backing up data should occur daily for the organisation. This is because of the new data
that is stored on multiple hard drives over time and sometimes when an archived piece
of data is inaccessible, having the backup data can help with clients or with any other
business related files.
In order to back up data the company needs to have hard drives to store the data on, or
cloud storage which may be more efficient. Windows’ backup & restore function allows
you options to back up your computer’s data on the hard drive. The company’s data for
each computer user and the data used can be backed up to an external hard drive which
makes it very easy to restore any settings, data, personal files or media to the computer
system. Through Windows operating system, you are able to schedule the backup of
your files which is useful to the organisation for automatic scheduled backups. The
restore feature takes the windows file containing all the backed up data and restores it to
its full compatibility wherever it fits as well as files and media. Backup software is
included with the Windows operating system as well as many other operating systems.
