Writing the report went well. Usually it is difficult to do something together with another
person because of different schedules. This is why my partner and I wanted to plan
everything beforehand and make deadlines for each other. We wrote everything that
needed to be done in a document and started planning. We tried to also make an indication
about how long every part would take and what date and time it should be finished, to be
able to correct each other on time. Because of a good planning, we had a good start with
really good articles. The received feedback was sometimes more usual than the others. This
is why we also asked around by friends, to receive more personal feedback in the finished
part. The last received feedback from my friend who studies at another university really
helped us to finish the last few dots at the end. We improved the content as well as the
grammar in our sentences. The only improvement I can think off, is planning more time on
our abstract and the title name. We made the abstract at the end of the report, which was a
good timing but a little late on time. So, a tip for myself while writing future reports, will be
to check whether everything is completed a day beforehand, so that we can check the
overall report once again.
The easiest part to write was the introduction. We had more useful feedback for our
introduction so, we changed quite a lot for the deadline. This is also the component we
improved the most. The abstract should have been easy as well, if we took an hour more to
double check this part of our report. I thought the body and discussion would be more
difficult than the rest of the content. But after seeing the rubric went we got our grade back,
we saw that these parts were really good. My expectation in the body and discussion was
average, but we had a little higher than this. We received the most feedback in our body,
which is probably why we had a good grade overall. Because we were able to improve on
the basis of our feedback. The referencing went quite easy, except for the fact that we
missed one or two references according to our lecturer.
If I had to do this report again, I could have given the abstract a little more attention by
making it a day or two earlier. I can tell about all the other components, that we planned
and wrote everything on time and that we were satisfied with the result that came out of it.
I tried to plan everything myself and then communicate with my partner whether she agreed
with me or not. We agreed with about 90 percent of the ideas. The only thing me and my
partner did not agree with, was that she wanted to keep using the same words and
sentences all over again for like 20 times in a row. My solution was writing the sentences
myself and asking if she was okay with the result. At the end, we used both our ideas to have
our mutual agreements met. We changed most of the words but kept some of the same
sentences because my partner really wanted to. In solution, we were both accessible for
each other and the communication went well. We were both satisfied with the result and
with the grade we got from our lecturer.
