ATLS 10th EDITION FAQS
ATLS 10th edition FAQs
1. 10th edition course fees
New edition fee payable once: £500
Registration fee payable to RCS per delegate: £150
Hard copy of X-rays TBC – please notify us if you are planning to purchase
hard copy of X-rays. Pre-order is required.
Access to Faculty resources for existing faculty will be free of charge.
2. Planning for the 10th edition
We recommend that centres book facilities for three days for their first 10th
edition course; although ATLS 10th edition is a 2-day course, booking one
extra day will allow you to set up and organise a faculty meeting the day
before the course: a minimum of 2-3 hours is required for the faculty meeting.
Courses held from September 2018, which are registered with us as 9th
edition 3-day courses, will be changed by us to 10th edition course. You will
soon be able to set up 10th edition courses via the RCC. We will notify you
when this function is available.
Programme templates, Scenario station guides and other necessary
resources will be ready in March.
3. What are the main differences between 9th edition and 10th edition
courses?
Duration: 10th edition is a 2-day face to face course but delegates have to
complete online modules prior to the course
Lectures replaced by online modules; approximately 15 hours of pre-course
learning
Skills stations are scenario based and are called Scenario Stations in the 10th
edition (Airway Scenario, Breathing scenario, etc.)
10th edition resources for faculty and delegates are electronic
Assessment methods, moulage and triage sessions have not changed
(however some of the moulage and triage scenarios have been updated)
New MCQs but the pass score is still 28/40 and 32/40 for IPs
Pre-test MCQ paper is hosted on RCS VLE and needs to be completed online
4. 10th edition resources for delegates on ATLS provider and reverification

edition
