Onschadelijke residente flora treedt in competitie met pathogene MO voor

- Zure zeep: niet schadelijk voor huid ( alkalische zeep gaat huidbarrière aantasten)
- Lokale antiseptica
- Lokale AB (erythromycine, clindamycine)
o Cave veel recidieven, langdurige beh nodig => best lokale antiseptica

- Orale AB: erythrasma 1g erythromycine/d, 1W
o Meestal niet nodig, maar wel bij uitgebreid erythrasma
