,Voorwoord
Voor het vak Financiële rapportage op Hogeschool Inholland Alkmaar hebben wij een financieel
rapport geschreven. Voor dit rapport hebben wij gebruik gemaakt van deskresearch. Het rapport is
opgesteld aan de hand van het formele format dat beschikbaar stond op Moodle. Naast gebruik te
hebben gemaakt van het format en deskresearch hebben wij ook gebruik gemaakt van het boek:
Integrale bedrijfsanalyse. Verder hebben bij gegevens uit het analysemodel van Schilstra gebruikt
voor het bedrijf ASML.
Wij vonden het een interessant en leerzaam onderzoek. Voornamelijk omdat we een leuk en
interessant bedrijf hadden.
Wij willen Gillian Gordan bedanken voor het begeleiden van ons onderzoek.

ASML is an innovation leader in the semiconductor industry. They provide chipmakers with everything they
need – hardware, software, and services – to mass produce patterns on silicon through lithography. ASML
designs and manufactures lithography machines that are an essential component in chip manufacturing. The
vision of ASML is enabling groundbreaking technology to solve some of humanity's toughest challenges. The
mission: Together with our partners, we provide leading patterning solutions that drive the advancement of
microchips.
Porter's model shows that ASML's competitive intensity is low. Also, the substitute score is low. The supplier's
strengths are high. Porter's model shows that threat of entrants, customers, and competition is not very high.
The stakeholders who can influence ASML are internal and external. Internal stakeholders are staff and
shareholders. And the external stakeholders are customers, creditors, government, and society.
ASML has above-average solvency. It's between 50 and 60 percent. The liquidity is very healthy current ratio is
around 2.5 the quick ratio is above 1. The profitability of ASML's wealth is above 10%, which is very positive.
ASML supports the 2030 ambition defined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These
goals aim to protect the planet and improve the lives of everyone in the world. We have highlighted five core
areas we support: circular economy, climate and energy, innovation ecosystem, people, and responsible supply
chain.
The SWOT analysis showed that one of the opportunities for ASML is to keep innovating new products and
technologies. Another opportunity is to raise brand awareness. ASML forecasts that it will keep growing in the
coming years.
