1) Sequential: To get to any level above 0, students

each level are the same as the ideas

based on what they look like. Therefore, the activities will be as

simple as being able to point out specific shapes.

Level 1 is being able to recognise different shapes based on their

specific characteristics and properties, for example, squares

have 4 equal sides and triangles have 3 sides. These activities

would differ in the sense that instead of pointing out specific

shapes, students could sort different shapes into their correct

category for example, group all triangles together and squares

together etc.

Level 2 is being able to recognise the relationship between the

properties of shapes. These activities would be more complex

with students trying to find the minimal defining properties for

various shapes.
