PSY 550 Week 3 Assignment, Informed Consent and Debriefing (GRADED A)

You are invited to take part in a study that will involve information in regard to infertility and if infertility has affected your relationships with those closest to you. You will receive questionna ire’s asking about your experiences with infertility. The questionnaire’s will include questions in regard to your infertility and the impact on your relationships with people who do not struggle with it, infertility and the impact on your relationships with people who do struggle with it and how your relationships could be improved. This study will be a one-week study and will start as soon as you sign the agreement and receive the first steps. Risks We recognize that this study being done could bring up a lot of emotions about your struggle with infertility. Some questions will touch on the pain of your experience and bring up sensitive topics that may have not been fully dealt with. You may feel the need to release those emotions and process them through this. Procedures Through the questionnaires and surveys, we provide, we understand if you choose to discontinue your participation in the study. However, at the moment of signing, you will still agree to debrief your experience in the study as a participant even if you are inactive. You are able to withdraw your participation at any point in the study without question. There will be an opportunity for you to debrief with a psychologist at the end of the study which offers the ability to ask questions about the study and shared experience. Benefits Through this study, there will be many connections made with others who have been through your same struggle and have tried to navigate their relationships through it all. This study will also help you recognized how your struggle has impacted your relationships. Financial Compensation This will not be a paid study. Confidentiality Any information that you submit as the participant will be kept confidential. The information from the study will be used and seen by those who have worked on the study in order to come up with the right information of the outcome of this study.
