under bipolar affective disorder.

 No hallucinations or delusions.
 Persistent mild elevation of mood.
 Increased energy and activity.
 Marked feelings of well-being.
 Increased sociability and talkativeness.

 Decreased need for sleep.
 Decreased concentration and attention.
 Irritability may take the place of the more usual euphoric sociability.
