Vraag 1
De EU is op allerlei gebieden actief, van vervoer en handel tot cultuur en
mensenrechten. Geef aan de hand van de Europese Verdragen aan met welke
algemene beleidsterreinen de Europese Unie zich bezighoudt. Economie,
criminaliteit, immigratie/asiel, milieu. Artikel 3 t/m 6 VEU.
Artikel 3: exclusieve bevoegdheden van de Unie, staten hebben al hun
bevoegdheden overgedragen aan de Unie
Artikel 4: gedeelde bevoegdheden van de Unie en lidstaten, staten hebben
gedeeltelijk hun bevoegdheden overgedragen aan de Unie
Artikel 6: coördinerende bevoegdheden, Unie kan de lidstaten ondersteunen,
coördineren of aanvullen in haar bevoegdheden.

De Europese Unie kent een aantal instellingen. Een viertal daarvan bepaalt in
grote lijnen wat de EU doet. Welke instellingen kent de Europese Unie en in
welke Verdragsartikelen vinden zij hun grondslag? Beargumenteer welke
organen, instellingen of andere entiteiten er tot respectievelijk de wetgevende,
uitvoerende en rechtsprekende macht van de Europese Unie behoren. Europees
Parlement (art. 14 VEU, 223 ev. VWEU), Europese Raad (art. 16 EU), Europese
Commissie (art. 17 VEU), Hof van Justitie (art. 19 VEU). Wetgevende macht:
Europees Parlement, Raad, (Europese Commissie). Uitvoerende macht: Europese
Commissie. Rechtsprekende macht: Hof van Justitie.
