1. The first and second portofolio sheets were a bit tough, meaning that I didn’t know what I
could and couldn’t do. Throughout the entire process, I gained confidence in my abilities
to explore new skills and to apply the ones I knew. The last portofolio sheets weren’t any
easier but they were definitely more interesting since I knew the steps to follow. Finding
new ideas based on current ideas and creating new perspectives based on current
perspectives was getting easier with each portfolio sheet. Creative exploration was one
of my favorite things to do. I got to explore different aspects of art.
2. In my opinion, the tough part was finding new ideas, especially with the first portofolio. I
wasn’t super confident that my ideas were going to open doors toward something a bit
more concrete.
3. The most rewarding part is without any doubt finishing a portfolio sheet. I find it really
exciting to see the final product; it also gave me a confidence boost. It’s super fulfilling to
get something done which is something I felt every time I’ve finished a portfolio sheet.
4. Definitely patience. I wouldn’t consider myself a patient person; I always tend to speed
up the process just to get a sense of accomplishment. So the fact that I only got a limited
amount of time to work on the sheets forced me to be more productive due to the limited
amount of time & the deadlines but it also taught me that creating a portfolio sheet is a
pretty slow process. So I do think being patient is something I am a bit more due to this
experience.
5. I would recommend finding solid ideas they really appreciate, especially for the first
portofolio sheet since it’s the foundation of the portofolio. I think it would really ruin the
fun of the process if you aren’t pleased with your ideas. I would also like to add that it
takes time to come up with good ideas hence the importance of patience.
