Als we meer dan twee variabelen met elkaar willen gebruiken dan gebruiken we geen t-toets
meer maar de ANOVA. ANALYSIS OF VARIANCE
Theorie achter Anova:
Als we van meerdere variabelen de gemiddelden willen vergelijken, en dus de verschillen,
gebruiken we ook dummy-coderen. Elke groep krijgt een code.
Het regressie model wordt getest met de F-test, ANOVA is een afgeleide van het lineaire
model.
De waarde van F: hoe goed voorspelt het regressie model de verhouding tussen de
verklaarde en onverklaarde variantie.
Multiple regression model:
Als er bv drie categorieën zijn die je wilt gebruiken en met elkaar wilt vergelijken moet je dus
dummy-coderen.
Voorbeeld: test met Viagra: We willen het libido vergelijken van mensen die een lage dosis,
hoge dosis en geen dosis krijgen ( placebo)
0= de groep waarmee je gaat vergelijken, in dit geval placebo of te wel controlegroep. Je
vergelijkt dus de groepen met lage en hoge dosis met de groep die geen dosis heeft
gekregen.
Een libido kan voorspelt worden door de groepscode te weten en het intercept.
