Binnen de beschermde woonvorm van de GGZ is roken een veelvoorkomende activiteit onder zowel bewoners maar ook onder medewerkers. De risico’s zijn niet alleen van toepassing op diegenen die roken, maar ook op diegenen die meeroken en in de omgeving verblijven. Er heerst een grijs gebied rondom het roken binnen de beschermde woonvorm, omdat de cliënten gebruik maken van een eigen woning waarbij zij eigen zeggenschap hebben over wat zij doen in deze ruimte. Roken is eigenlijk ‘heel normaal’ geworden, zelfs onder begeleiding, dus hoe handhaaf je de regels zonder met twee maten te meten? Dit essay is onderbouwd aan de hand van literatuur.
