Voorwoord
Mijn naam is Stella van Schijndel. Ik ben in juli 2019 gediplomeerd tot MBO-verpleegkundige. In
september 2019 ben ik gestart met de opleiding tot HBO-verpleegkundige. Sinds september 2018
ben ik werkzaam op de afdeling Cardiologie in het Zaans Medisch Centrum.
Op de afdeling Cardiologie in het Zaans Medisch Centrum liggen meestal patiënten boven de 50 jaar
oud, sporadisch zijn er patiënten tussen de 18 en 50 jaar oud. Op de afdeling Cardiologie zijn er 26
bedden waar er op dit moment 22 van worden gebruikt vanwege personeelstekort. In het ziekenhuis
wordt er samen gewerkt met veel verschillende disciplines, zoals: artsen, arts-assistenten,
fysiotherapeuten, diëtisten, logopedisten, hartfalenverpleegkundigen, laborant medewerkers,
pacemakertechnici, secretaresses, Coronary Care Unit (CCU) -verpleegkundigen, team-coördinatoren,
infectiepreventie en transferverpleegkundigen (Naumann-Roos & Verver, 2016).
In dit verslag wordt een casus van een patiënt behandeld, deze casus wordt behandeld in paragraaf
één. In de rest van het verslag worden de verpleegtechnische handelingen die bij deze patiënt zijn
uitgevoerd besproken.
