P1 - Explain types of control systems
What is a security system?
A security system is a method which secures by a system of working with devices and
components. A security system is made to know unauthorized entry to a physical place or area.
For example security alarms being used for houses.
What is environmental control?
Environmental control devices are devices which let people with impairments to do with
mobility to run electronic devices. For example computers.
Remote control
Remote control uses infrared beams. It sends signals using electromagnetic waves.
Electromagnetic waves vibrating packets of electrical and magnetic energy travelling through
air, which is done so with the speed of light.
Gate sensors
Gate sensors use loop detectors in which electric gate slides when detecting an approaching
body or an object. There are many methods of detecting body movement. Although, the most
used method is a loop detector. This is a detector which is a small tool that is used in coil of
wire, which is within the surface of a flooring.
