Onthoud van de herhaling: kaakbot ligt 1-2 mm boven/van de glazuur cement grens. Niet
BIJ/OP de glazuur cement grens!
Gingiva volgt de contour van de glazuur cement grens (golvend).
Oppervlakte van al het wortelvlies (al het parodontaal ligament) bij elkaar is 80 tot 90 cm 2 bij
elkaar (ter vergelijking met een hand). Realiseer je dat een klein wondje in de mond veel
groter is als je het vergelijkt met een wondje op de hand.
Oraal epitheel is gekeratiniseerd, sulcus epitheel niet. De zijde van het epitheel tegen de tand
is niet gekeratiniseerd (sulcus- en aanhechtingsepitheel).
Groen op het plaatje is cement, daaraan zit het epitheel (aanhechtingsepitheel).
Bloeding bij aanraking komt echt door het vermeerdering van bloedvaten, niet echt door
het verwijden!!!

Eerst positieve kokken en staven daarna negatieve kokken, spirocheten en staven.
Ze hebben gekeken naar de plaque index maar ook naar bloeding. Eerste vorming van
gingivitis zie je pas na een week als je de gebitsreiniging staakt.

Lamina dura is de witte lijn om het element heen. Als een lamina dura on doorbroken is, is er
geen botafbraak. De lamina dura doorbreekt (met wat zwart ertussen) met botafbraak.
Het zwarte tussen de lamina dura en het element is het wortel vlies. Wortelcement (soft
tissue/zacht weefsel) is het niet omdat hier het licht niet doorheen kan, wortelvlies heeft dat
wel. Dus: je kunt verlies van aanhechting NIET op een foto zien, omdat het te maken heeft
met zacht weefsel, zacht weefsel kun je niet zien op de foto dus je kunt er niet mee meten.
Herbeoordeling: een gingivitis patiënt kun je na een week al herbeoordelen maar na 2/3
weken pas echt om verandering te kunnen zien.
