Physician - Answer- responsible for outlining the rehabilitation program for a patient and for ordering any special physical therapy treatments. Physical Therapist (PT) - Answer- responsible for performing treatments that require training in therapeutic exercises, hydro/electro therapy. Also responsible for performing procedures dealing with individual muscles and muscular movement as well as evaluating a patient and designing an individual therapeutic program. Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Answer- works under the direction of physical therapists and responsible for assisting with patient care and performing selected treatments such as ultrasound, and assist in evaluating the patient's progress. Athletic Trainer (AT) - Answer- responsible for preventing and treating athletic injuries, providing rehabilitation services to athletes, teaching proper nutrition, assessing an athlete's physical condition, giving advice on exercises, and taping or padding players to protect body parts from injury. Recreational Therapist - Answer- uses recreation and leisure activities to treat patient's symptoms and improve their physical and mental well-being. This is done by planning activities for the patient and evaluating their progress. Exercise Physiologist - Answer- designs a physical activity program that's tailored to the specific needs of the individual participant. Occupational Therapist (OT) - Answer- makes special equipment to help with daily activities and loss of ROM, analyze bodily maneuvers, step by step, trains patient so s/he is able to compensate for weakness or paralysis of a limb, teaches a patient how to get in and out of a bathtub, how to set the table with one arm damaged, or how to use a weakened arm to support the good arm for bimanual activities. Social Worker - Answer- analyzes patients' emotional needs and reconciling these with means of community, or society, assist both patients and families in obtaining rehabilitation services or financial support from state or federal agencies, and assisting in
