, Reversible Cell Injury
Reversible injury is the stage of cell injury at which the deranged funct
morphology of the injured cells can return to normal if the damaging stim
removed.
Two patterns of reversible cell injury can be observed under the microscope
1. Cellular swelling
Occurs with impairment of the energy-dependent Na+/K+ ATPase membrane
This will increase intracellular sodium and water accumulation.
2.Fatty change
Appearance of triglyceride containing lipid vacuoles in the cytoplasm.
(mostly liver)
