SCOPE & WVS - Clark County CJIS used extensively in Southern NV
NCJIS - State of NV CJIS which contains warrants, criminal history, and other
information on persons
Nlets - a nationwide and international system that allows us access to
INTERPOL, DMV, criminal history, and much more - -
-N-DEx - an FBI system that allows agencies to share all types of criminal
justice information such as incident crime reports
NCIC - the major FBI CJIS system which contains hot files and various other
informational files to aid patrol officers and investigators
III - The FBI's interstate criminal history system bridges the gap in
understanding the true arrest history and identity of a subject. - -
-SCOPE & WVS - and Protection and Enforcement, has been in existence
since 1968 and is owned by Clark County; however is administered by
LVMPD. - -
-Nlets Help Files is available for a variety of systems and information
accessible via Nlets such as DMV, CHRI and more.
There are 2 types of help files: - -1) deals with state or other Nlets member
help records
2) deals with general help records maintained by Nlets
-NCIC - National Crime Information Center; computerized database of
documented criminal justice information available to virtually every law
enforcement agency nationwide. - -
-Criminal justice agencies enter records into NCIC that are accessible to law
enforcement agencies nationwide. These records must 1) contain accurate
information, 2) be complete with all known information from available
systems and resources. - -
-NCIC Person files
The majority of NCIC consists of person files on which there are 14 files.
