Here is an overview of what the document contains to meet following criteria with the Unit content:
Assignment 1: Roles, Responsibilities, Skills and Techniques of a...
Role Model:
One of their roles is to make sure you achieve your goals to the best of your
ability. There are different methods in terms of presenting yourself as a
coach in the form of a role model. Becoming a role model, must require
them to be approachable towards anyone including; spectators, players or
even visitors.
This can have a huge impact on the players around the coach because it
provides an example how they should perform as being a good role model
means; having a fine body language, good facial expressions and a positive
attitude, an example would be Wilkinson, a role model. Also being a role
model would mean that players would consider the coaches an inspiration
and guide to become a player that they dreamed to become.
Friend:
The coach also provides continual support, pointing out the growth and
development of player which inspires you to be very motivated. He would
often produce advices or information to his players since this can have an
impact on the individual mentally and physically, as it can have an effect
the way they perform in a game.
This type of coach would understand his friend better and would in some
circumstances let the individual make decisions for him. Peps Guardiola
would be a good example to mention as he was in charge of Barcelona; he
had a very close relationship with his fine players such as; Lionel Messi and
Cristain Tello.
, Amjad G
Manager:
The coach assesses you individually and identifies your strength and
weaknesses; this then highlights the performance the player has produced
which can lead to performing better next time and therefore becoming very
inspired. One of the manager’s roles is to coordinate training programmes
and this may include features like tactical awareness and fitness
development skills.
For example, Sir Alex Ferguson was also a manager and a coach at the same
time, he would motivate his players such as; Cristiano Ronaldo and Dimitar
Berbatov making them learn from their mistakes and perform better next
time in training sessions. It is often the manager’s responsibility to coach
the team as well as the players. The manager coach would have to manage
the fixtures, prepare essential equipment’s and organise the training
venues
Innovator:
This is a very important part when it comes to coaching, the coach would
want his players to show extreme dedication and not want them to go
through boredom; losing interest. The coach might then change tactics or
training methods in order to keep the player to feel motivated due to
different challenging methods.
There could be different ways in which an innovator coach can inspire his
players such as; giving motivational speeches or showing video clips related
to his ambition. An innovative coach would often use different techniques
or creative skills to develop the performance for his player. For example,
Bobby Crutchley won 80 caps for England. He uses techniques that would
help his players physically and mentally, by doing this he would
demonstrate, observe and assess his players.
