As a result, these children still inherit the throne under the name of the parent whose raise the child. Coronation The act and celebration around placing a crown upon the head of the next successor. It symbolizes the passing of the monarchy and the succession of the king or queen. Abdication The act of an authority/leader giving up their power, essentially leaving their throne. Usurper When someone takes control or power of the throne illegally. This person basically establishes the entire empire to his own often by brute force and seizing often all power.
