Why you have chosen this syllabus type.

In order to properly meet the student’s needs, I have chosen a multi-syllabus approach which enables me to make
use of a wide variety of teaching resources for an all-encompassing language learning experience. Rather than
depending exclusively on a textbook, this type of syllabus improves the learning experience by allowing the use of a
variety of authentic resources, like podcasts, TED Talks, videos, online articles, games etc. The chosen resources are
customized to match Alberto's interests, ensuring each lesson has specific objectives that contribute to the overall
goals of the course. By tailoring the syllabus to the learner's unique needs, interests, and goals, the course becomes
highly customized, enhancing engagement and motivation. This strategy guarantees both personalised learning and
engagement as it aligns with the learner's interests and makes the content more relevant to real-life situations,
increasing the practical value of language skills. Based on the information gathered from the questionnaire and
interview, the course will primarily focus on developing Alberto's speaking, listening, vocabulary, pronunciation, and
reading skills. These skills will be refined in areas pertinent to his interests and career goals. The flexibility of a multi-
syllabus approach enables adjustments based on the learner's pace and progress, ensuring that each aspect of
language learning is addressed effectively.

Why you have chosen the topic(s) covered.

The choice of topics is driven by a thoughtful consideration of the students' needs and interests, particularly taking
into account Alberto's background in engineering. By covering subjects like environment, science, technology, travel,
and current affairs, the aim is to create a learning experience that is not only linguistically enriching but also directly
relevant to Alberto's interests and professional domain. These topics provide a platform for discussions that can
enhance language proficiency while simultaneously deepening his awareness of current trends, technological
advancements, travel scenarios, and industry-related issues. In essence, the selection is tailored to offer a practical
and engaging educational experience aligned with the students' and, specifically, Alberto's unique requirements. This
will empower him to participate in meaningful conversations, both professionally and socially.

Why you have chosen this target language/skill.
