Product Backlog - All the desired work that might be developed and delivered during the project. This list represents the wish list of the customer, based on the knowledge at that moment. The requirements are captured in user stories. Sprint Backlog - A sprint backlog is a subset of the product backlog that will be delivered at the end of a sprint. Sprint - A fixed period of time in which the team is committed to developing and delivering the features as specified in the sprint backlog User Story - A breakdown of work on a project, ideally expressed in a way that each item has value to the users or customers of the product. Here is a user story template: "As a <user type/role>, I want to <what>, so that I <business value>" Here is an example: "As a trainer, I want to see my schedule for next week, so that I can prepare my training courses." Product Owner - The Product Owner represents the stakeholders. They are accountable for ensuring that the team delivers value to the business. They write (or have the team write) user stories. Team Member - The development team is responsible for delivering potentially shippable product increments at the end of each sprint. Scrum Master - The SCRUM Master is accountable for removing impediments to the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal/deliverables. Stakeholder - Anyone who has an interest in the application, from an end-user to a managing director responsible for the business.
