and pull downwards. Lower denture, gently lift from jaw and rotate one side downwards. Place
dentures in sink.
- Apply cleaning agent to brush and brush surfaces of dentures
- If patient uses adhesive, apply a thin layer to undersurface before inserting
- If patient needs help inserting dentures, moisten upper dentures and press firmly to seal in place.
Ask if dentures feel comfortable.
- To rest gums and reduce risk of infection, store dentures in a secure moist place.

Unconscious patients can't spit, or swallow, they need suction and their heads need to be positioned
