SUBMIT THIS WRITTEN ASSESSMENT ONLINE, IN PDF FORMAT ON MYUNISA ON
THE HRM3703 MODULE SITE.
Assessment 06 forms part of the six assessments set for this module, as
explained on the welcome message on the HRM3703 module site and in the
Assessment information document that we have published under Additional
Resources on the HRM3703 module site. There are six assessment
opportunities for this module and assessment 06 (this one) is the only
mandatory assessment. Four of the assessments will contribute towards
your final mark as we have explained in the Assessment information
document.
Read all the instructions and requirements carefully and adhere to all the Unisa policies and rules.
Find the questions to Answer in Appendix A of this document.
IMPORTANT NOTE!
To pass this module, you need to obtain a minimum of 50%, this means that once all your assessment
submissions during the semester, together with this last assessment, have been calculated according to the
weights in line with the information that we have provided in the Assessment information document (available
under Additional Resources on the myModule site), your final mark should add up to 50% or more. If you do not
obtain at least 50%, it will mean that you fail the module, and you will have to re-register for the module again
in future. There are no remarks or supplementary opportunities.

2. ASSESSMENT PLAN FOR HRM3703
In tutorial Letter HRM3703/101/3/2024 we have indicated that we will be using a continuous assessment strategy
for this module. We have also provided detailed information in the Assessment information document
available under Additional Resources on the HRM3703 module site. Therefore, you will not be required to
write a final summative examination. Instead, the marks you obtain for all the assessments during the
semester will contribute to your final mark for this module. Each of the assessments contributes a certain
percentage (indicated as a weight) to the final mark. In line with this strategy, the assessment questions and
instructions are not available from the start, but are published at regular intervals throughout the semester. We
continuously receive enquiries from students asking when assessments will be made available despite
the clear communication published in this regard, please read the Assessment information document,
the welcome message (look specifically at the table that deals with the assessments) and all the
announcements, we also provide information in the suggested study plan about this matter. The relevant
due dates are communicated in the module-specific Assessment information document and on the welcome
message. We also update the welcome message on the HRM3703 myUnisa module site regularly to reflect the
due dates of assessments and we provide further information about each assessment.
There are six (6) assessment opportunities for this module, but only four (4) assessments will contribute towards
your final mark for the module (only one assessment is mandatory - that is Assessment 06). In other words, you
can choose to submit the assessments in the various groups from Assessment 01, 03 and 05 (Group 1) and
Assessment 02 and 04 (Group 2) and you also submit Assessment 06. Assessments 01, 02, 03, 04 and 05
are thus elective assessments. Each assessment contributes a certain percentage (indicated as a weight)
towards your final mark for this module, so you can manage your learning throughout the semester, see more
information about the calculation of your final mark for this module in section 16 of the Assessment information
document that you find under Additional Resources on the HRM3703 module site.
The submission dates for all assessments are non-negotiable, management made an exception for Assessment
01 and additional time was granted for Assessment 02 as a result of the delay with the generation of the Turnitin
reports. We will communicate about the assessments via announcements on the HRM3703 myUnisa module
site, you will also see that we refer to the assessments on the welcome message on that site and in th
Assessment information document.
3. FORMAT AND TECHNICAL PRESENTATION OF ASSESSMENT 06
Assessment 06 is a written assessment comprising several discussion and application questions and it will
contribute 35% towards your final mark. We cover the material as indicated in the first section of this document,
ensure that you work through all the material before attempting the Assessment. This is a mandatory
assessment so it will contribute 35% towards your final mark for the module.
You are provided with an MS Word template that you should use when completing the assessment (available
in the Assessment Information folder, in sub-folder Assessment 06 under Additional Resources).
Your assessment answers must be typed and saved as a PDF file.
You must type your assessment answers in MS Word and then save it as a PDF file. The University no longer
accepts assessments that are handwritten or printed and scanned to a PDF format (even if you use an App or
scanner to scan the assessment). This is required to enable Turnitin similarity checking. Assessments that are
not submitted in the correct format, or where Turnitin reports could not be generated as a result of incorrect
submissions will not be graded and a 0-mark will be awarded. Therefore, ensure that you submit it in the
correct format and that the report is generated.
