Orthese: is een extern aangebracht hulpmiddel dat wordt gebruikt om de structurele en functionele
kenmerken van het neuromusculaire en skeletale systeem aan te passen.
Orthese: is een mechanisch werktuig dat aan een lidmaat bevestigd wordt met als doel anatomische
of fysieke eigenschappen te beïnvloeden en is een uitwendig gedragen hulpmiddel ter
ondersteuning, compensatie, immobilisatie, correctie, stabilisatie en of ontslasing.
Klinische doelen:
- Preventief beschermen
- Beperken van toekomstige misvormingen
- Correctie geven aan weefsels en/of spieren
- Ongewenste bewegingen tegengaan
- Beschermingen/ondersteuning bieden aan zwakke spieren/weefsels/gewrichten
- Controleren van afwijkingen ten gevolge van abnormale spierspanning
- Verhoging van de levenskwaliteit
- Pijn/oedeem verminderen
- Vergemakkelijken normale bewegingen
- Genezing bevorderen
Koninklijk Besluit zegt dat podologische zolen moeten voldoen aan:
1. Individueel op maat vervaardigd moeten zijn:
Er wordt niet specifiek uitgelegd dat dit via 3D afname moet zijn of dat het opmeten
van de voet in lengte en breedte maten ook al voldoende is…
2. Voorafgaand klinisch, biomechanisch en biometrisch onderzoek ,uitgevoerd door een

een orthese of prothese.
