, 1. La formulación magistral en la historia
Mundo arcaico: La salud está vinculada a la magia y la
religión, de forma que la preparación de remedios estaba
en manos de los hechiceros o sacerdotes.
Mundo clásico:
Medicina y tratamientos mágico-religiosos se van separando.
Surge la figura del médico-farmacéutico que prepara sus
propios remedios.
Destaca la figura de Claudio Galeno (clasificó mas de 400
plantas), y de ahí la farmacia galénica, que estudia los
métodos técnicos para la elaboración de medicamentos y sus
características.
, Edad Media: el farmacéutico empieza su
actividad al margen del médico y se crean
asociaciones: los gremios. El farmacéutico realiza
las preparaciones magistrales en su botica.
Renacimiento: la figura del farmacéutico se diferencia más
claramente de la del médico. Comienza una revolución en los
conocimientos farmacéuticos, aunque todavía no se consolidan
como ciencia.
En España se erigió de la cultura árabe
Edad Moderna: proliferan farmacopeas y formularios.
Formulación magistral y formulación oficinal se constituyen
como base de la actividad farmacéutica.
Segunda mitad del siglo XIX: surgen los primeros medicamentos
de síntesis y laboratorios farmacéuticos. La fabricación industrial
empieza a ganar terreno a la formulación magistral.
