Social Efficiency Educators Traditional Historians - answer-Who want history at the core of social studies Social Efficiency Educators - answer-Who hold that the social studies are to promote a smoothly controlled and more efficient society Ex: voting, community service, etc. Purpose of Social Science - answer--Citizenship is a well informed person who possesses social science knowledge -Learning of the attitudes and knowledge of social scientists **how social scientists look at social studies Method of Social Science - answer--Transmission of selected topics through inquiry (how content gets info) as a social scientist -Alternative method: problems, hypotheses, and evaluation of data Content of Social Science - answer--content selection involves identifying significant issues of social science discipline. Includes: 1. Structure of knowledge 2. Problems/ Issues within discipline 3. fa
