Tell me about how you started flying. - ANS-When I was six years old, my parents used
to bring me to Logan airport to watch the planes takeoff and land. Ever since then I
have become hooked. I began to collect model airplanes and create model airports. My
parents also bought me a desktop flight simulator where I was able to fly anything I
wanted to, in all different paint schemes. After constantly plane spotting, collecting
models, and using my simulator; my parents bought me an introductory flight lesson at
Beverly Flight Center when I was 12 years old. After my first flight, I knew that flying was
what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I flew every month to accumulate hours for
my license. I was hired by the flight school to wash the airplanes on the weekends to
afford flying lessons. By the time I was 16, I was able to accomplish my first solo flight.
At 17, I earned my private pilot license and started working as a dispatcher at the flight
school. I then enrolled in North Shore community college's aviation science program
where I earned my instrument, commercial, multi, CFI, and CFI-I. I instructed at Beverly
Flight Center until I obtained my ATP minimums to fly for the airlines. I was hired by
Republic Airways and received my type rating in the E-170/190 which is what I currently
fly.

What has been the most challenging aspect of your career? - ANS-The most
challenging aspect of my career so far has been transitioning from flying single engine
general aviation aircraft to multi engine turbine aircraft.
What is the best/worst flying job you have had? - ANS-Cannot think of the worst flying
job, because they all have been challenging, fun and exciting. The best would be the
121 position I am currently in. With everything standardized, SOP's, 117 regs,
schedules, and the Union. makes it the Ideal place to have a pilot job.
What have you enjoyed most about your current job? - ANS-Meeting new people,
making new friends, new destinations, learning a new plane
Why do you want to leave your current job? - ANS-While I currently enjoy where I am
working, I am excited about joining a growing company with great people and a great
culture.
Please touch on reasons for leaving each employer. - ANS-To further advance my
career and experience. To ultimately end up at my career airline.

ANS-Management keeps pilots more up to date with things going on within the
company. Having a deeper connection with employees will keep the employees around
longer.
, What have you done in your career to make yourself a better pilot? - ANS-I am always
trying to keep myself up to date with new regs, constantly keep myself sped up with
aircraft systems, and whenever a recurrent is coming close I always like to start
studying early to stay ahead.
What do you know about jetblue, and what is it about jetblue that makes you want to
work here? - ANS-JetBlue was founded in 1998 by David Neelman. JetBlue supports
many non profit organizations. JetBlue's slogan "You Above All" shows that the
customer is number 1. JetBlue has several bases and focus cities on the east coast.
JetBlue is a growing company with the addition of several new aircraft including the
A321neo, the A321LR, and of course the A220. The addition of London Heathrow and
London Gatwick service. I want to work here because JetBlue's culture best fits what I'm
looking for in a company to work for long term. Not only is it about the culture, but it's
about the people. Working with people who care makes a big difference in working for a
company. Operationally speaking, JetBlue fits what I want to do as a pilot into the future.
The amount of growth that jetblue currently has shows me that there is so much room
for me to potentially grow within the company into the future. JetBlue will allow me to
learn and gain new experiences within the aviation industry. I want jetblue to be my
forever home and I want to retire with this company. Seeing what JetBlue is doing with
the new A321neo and XLR along with the addition of several A220s motivates me to
want to stay here for a lifetime. JetBlue has been my hometown airline since I was a
child and it would be a dream for me to work here.
