Recruitment programs - answer-involved in many areas of Pitt's on campus recruitment
programs - giving campus tours, greeting families, participating in our "Student Panel",
or letting a student shadow your day
-participate in Admitted Student Conferences, Getting Ready Programs, Honors Days,
Pitt Pride Days, Saturday Small Groups, and Scholarship Programs. Pathfinders also
have the option to participate in Hotel Programs, High School Visits, and Overnights

Telerecruiting - answerfor admitted and admit paid students
-these calls serve as a way to personally greet and inform prospective students

Meetings requirements - answer-required to attend a mandatory weekly meeting (thurs
4-5) Alt are .5 hours

Meetings entail the following... - answer-continuous training
-current events
-organizational updates/changes
-other important information

Fundraising (how much, how, and what for) - answer-$25 minimum required per
semester
-sell raffle tickets
-money goes toward fall and spring retreats, annual formal, and various expenses

Academic Standing (required QPA & what happens if below?) - answerto join 3.00,
must have at least a 2.75 QPA to stay
-if it drops, put on probation a semester (must show documentation that you are being
tutored)
-if QPA is still below 2.75, dismissed from the organization

Excused Absence forms (2 types) - answer-request for absence from a scheduled event
(i.e. tele recruiting or weekly tour)
-permanent requests for absence from a scheduled event (i.e. weekly meetings)- for
regular conflicts due to a class or other work

, If unable to make it to weekday or saturday campus tour... - answerhe/she must find a
replacement. Pathfinders must note replacements on the tour sign in sheet and notify
PFTOURS of the replacement

If unable to make it to mandatory event - answerrequired to provide a written excuse to
the officers prior to the event. It will be decided whether or not to approve the absence

If unable to make it to voluntary recruitment event - answerhe/she must find a
replacement as soon as possible. Pathfinders must note replacements on the sign-up
sheet

Point system (levels) - answereffectively maintain a level of professionalism and
operative efficiency of the Pitt Pathfinders
-at the first level, 10 points, a warning is given, at the second level, 20 points, the
pathfinder must meet w/ the officer team and pathfinder advisors. At the third level, 30
points, is grounds for termination

How many points till suspension? (non-new hire, new hire, semester after hire) -
answer- A (non-New hire) pathfinder only gets 30 points
- New hires only get 10 points
- semester after hire 20 points

Can you appeal points? - answerEveryone has the right to appeal points, and the
appeal can be made only at the weekly officer meeting (See officer for time and date)
-if you can't make the officer meeting you are obligated to schedule an alternate
meeting w/ the president within one week otherwise no opportunity to appeal

how do you know if you received points or not? - answernotified via email

how many possible point reductions - answera non-new hire has the option to work up
to 10 points off each term
