URETER
- Grootte
o 25-30cm lang
o 1-3mm breed
- Ureter komt schuin in de blaas (hoe schuiner, hoe langer de lengte in de blaaswand)
o Als blaas vult, gaat wand uitrekken waardoor door druk in de wand de ureter toeklapt
o Geen terugvloei van urine door die intramurale druk
o >< ectopische ureter: urether komt op slechte plaats uit → meer kans op uretherovesicale

HISTOLOGIE
- Ureter
o Circulaire en longitudinale spieren → peristaltiek
- Urotheel = overgangsepitheel = transitioneel epitheel
o Verandert afh. van hoe vol de blaas is, kan goed stretchen
▪ Lege blaas: dikke wand
▪ Uitgezette blaas: urotheel is dunner, blaaswand is dunner en fragieler
o Meerlagige structuur
▪ Glycosaminoglycaan laag: suikerlaag voor protectie
• Als die laag kapot is dan komen toxische stoffen in contact met endotheel
-> penetratie toxische stoffen -> zenuwcellen in wand geactiveerd -> pijn
▪ Paraplu cel
▪ Intermediaire cel
▪ Basale cel
BLAAS
- Inhoud: 500 ml
- Blaaswand: 1-2mm dik
CONTINENTIE
