- Be able to label the BONES of the hand using the bone features listed in your practical book.
- Be able to name the synovial joints; carpometacarpal 1-5, metacarpophalangeal (MCP) 1-5,
ALL proximal and distal interphalangeal (IP) joints.
- Name and perform the MOTIONS of the thumb; adduction, abduction, flexion, extension,
opposition.
- Name the veins and arteries that enter the hand, and the different names they have as they
travel distally into the fingers.
- Name the nerves that enter the hand and know what area of sensation they provide to the
hand.
- Name the MOTIONS of the fingers and add in the muscles that create the motions. What are
the two compartments of the arm and in general, what are the ACTIONS of the muscles in
each compartment?
