Tools (5/19-2.5) - ✔️✔️(a) For the purposes of this Section:
• "Lock bumping" means a lock picking technique for opening a pin tumbler lock using a
specially-crafted bumpkey.
• (b) A person commits the offense of _________ when he or she knowingly sells or
transfers any key, including a key designed for lock bumping, or a lock pick specifically
manufactured or altered for use in breaking into a building, trailer, watercraft, aircraft,
motor vehicle, railroad car, or any depository designed for the safekeeping of property,
or any part of that property.
• (c) This Section does not apply to the sale or transfer of any item described in
subsection (b) to any peace officer or other employee of a law enforcement agency, or
to any person or agency licensed as a locksmith under the Private Detective, Private
Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004, or to any
person engaged in the business of towing vehicles, or to any person engaged in the
business of lawful repossession of property who possesses a valid Repossessor- ICC
Authorization Card.• (d) Sentence. Unlawful sale of burglary tools is a Class 4 felony."

Recognize circumstances that come within the criminal jurisdiction of the state (5/1-5). -

a forcible felony other than second degree murder within this State is conduct in which
the element of the offense for which a person is subject to prosecution in this State. In
homicide, the ""result"" is either the physical contact which causes death, or the death
itself; and if the body of a homicide victim is found within the State, the death is
presumed to have occurred within the State. 3. An offense which is based on an
omission to perform a duty imposed by the law of this State is committed within the
State, regardless of the location of the offender at the time of the omission. Child

Misdemeanor (5/2-11) - ✔️✔️means any offense in which term of imprisonment, other
than a penitentiary for less than one year, may be imposed.
Offense (5/2-12) - ✔️✔️means a violation of any statue of this state.
Peace Officer (5/2-13) - ✔️✔️means any person who by virtue of his office or public
employment is vested by law with the duty to maintain public order or to make arrests

control over a thing. B. Constructive possession: when they lack actual possession of a
thing but has both the power and the intention to exercise control over a thing.
Reasonable Belief (5/2-19) - ✔️✔️means that the person concerned, acting as a
reasonable man, believes that the described facts exist.
Voluntary Act (5/4-1) - ✔️✔️means a material element of every offense, that includes an
omission to perform a duty that the law imposes on an offender in which he is physically
capable of performing. (Not being forced)
