Business).
-pass laws & regs, and 1 category
-20 hours continuing ed. 4 on laws and regs for 2 years
-individual QAL don't need to register with county but the Pest Control Business must register in
any county they will operate in.


Pest Control Aircraft Pilot Certificate
(Apprentice/Journeyman) - ANSWER - -need DPR Aircraft Pilot Certificate, FAA Pilot's
certificate, Medical certificate (FAA)
-exams one must pass: Laws & regulations. Apprentice Pilot (work w/ fully licensed Journeymen
for 1 year, 150 hours of application experience in fixed wing plane/50 hours in non-fixed wing
within 2 years)
-cannot use pesticide containing signal words, organophosphates, or carbamates unless system
is closed (no mixing occurs at loading site)
-must register in person with county ag. commissioner

Agricultural Pest Control Adviser License
(non-applicator) - ANSWER - -provide pest control recommendations for Ag. use
-any state, county or D.A. official does not need this license. neither do UC personnel
