Question difficulty:
A: accessible to candidates 3 and above
B: candidates 4 and above
C: candidates 6 and above
D: grades 2-5
E: grades 2-6
F: grades 3-7
SL (Paper 1 and Paper 2)
Section A: 6 shorter questions (33 – 38 marks), 2 x A, 2 x B, then 2 x C

Practical Tips:
1. Significant Figures – Use 3 significant figures (or exact value) for all final answers
Ex: calculator answer: 2.3513
- Exception: Finance (use 2 decimal places)
- Pro-tip: don’t round anything until final answer - keep all decimals in calculator: ans * 2, ans / 5,
etc.
2. Sketch what you’re doing – If you can do a sketch, show it (helps you earn more Method marks)
3. Show your work – Part marks are possible
4. FT (follow through) – An error on one part doesn’t mean you get no marks for the remainder
