BA INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
Tell me about yourself - answer-I'm from Chicago I recently moved to
Houston Texas with my family. I am continuing my education towards a
bachelor's degree. I went to Oakton Community College in and now will be
transferring to a university here in Houston. I have 2 years of working
experience as a Business Analyst.

Tell me about your last project - answer-Introduction: Sure. The domain that I
worked for in my last project at AIM/anthem was healthcare. It was
regulated, competitive and volatile. I paid attention to detail, was able to
cope in a fast paced environment which is all about being resilient and
adaptable to change. AIM anthem serves more than 50 million members
across 50 states. Its a parent company of BCBS. it's basically a pre-auth
company that handles exams including MRI's, x-rays, PT, ST, OT and even
the medications get authorized through them.

I worked on two functionalities in IMASIS which is the ERP enterprise
resource planning application that the company uses. The first being the
"upload/attach" functionality and the second: the "view document"
functionality.

Basically if someone sends a fax, it could be the servicing provider, the
ordering provider a member, a manual fax or an e-fax, it is, it's always
scanned and stored in a share drive. If someone wants to see the fax they
had to exit out of the application and go to the share drive and when they're
done, open up the application again.

The business wanted to create that functionality within the application to
make it easier and more accessible. This is where i created the upload/attach
functionality so a fax would be able to be uploaded within the application
itself in a PDF format. With the view document functionality i'm able to view
an image of the document before uploading it.

I first did "as is" analysis on the current application. I looked at who the users
are, the current features, understanding where the data is going and i came
up with open ended questions to take to be.

My to be analysis was in the form of a facilitated session or JAD which is joint
application development and a part of agile. As a BA i had 3 meeting
responsibilities: pre, during and post. In pre I made an agenda
