soften the resin and the monomer of the resin may dissolve in the varnish

restorative material and the Dentin and may be referred as to a base regardless of the
purpose it serves
17. Insulators: Also referred to as bases and our place to insulate the pump from thermal
irritation
18. Zinc Oxide Eugenol (ZOE): Used as an insulating base and reinforcer this is a cement that
can be used as a base under amalgam restoration or as a temporary restoration
