• Nucleïnezuur -> nucleotiden -> veel stikstof => N vinden in H7: niet essentiële AZ
• N’s voor purines en pyrimidines halen we het meest uit de AZ van subklasse 1 (makkelijkste)
o Totaal 2-5 N
• Subklassen die we gebruiken:
o SK1: veel gebruikt, makkelijk om te maken
o SK2: glycolyse metaboliet
• Coënzyme THF => uniek voor nucleotidesynthese => vitamine afhankelijk
o F van Foliumzuur
o  Proteïnen metabolisme: PLP
