Non-rebreathing mask ANS - delivers high concentration of oxygen (60-80%) to patient for short term
or emergency use.

-There needs to be a circular valve to let carbon dioxide out when you breath out so patient doesn't
breathe it in
Medium Concentration mask ANS - delivers medium concentrations of oxygen (35-50%) at flows of 5-
10 L/min. Has circular valve with other tiny holes to let carbon dioxide out the sides. (Less than 5 L/min
will result in CO2 breathed in)
-Used mostly on patients after surgery
Aerosol mask ANS - for the delivery of medicated aerosol connected with a small volume nebulizer;
connects with wide bore tubing for delivery of humidified gas to the patient.
-can be used for asthma or COPD patients
-flow rate = 6-8L/min
Low flow Disposable Humidifier ANS - (colorless) used for delivery of molecular water with oxygen
therapy using small bore tubing with a nasal cannula.
Disposable Large Volume Nebulizer ANS - (blue tab to adjust FIO2) for delivery of particulate water
- FIO2 35-100%, but most accurate from 35-50%
- Can place on air flowmeter if humidified air is needed
- 10-15 LPM - adjust until mist is seen exiting the mask during inspiration
, - Used on patients who require a specific FIO2 up to 50% or humidity therapy
Water Trap ANS - collets "rainout" from the pieces of therapy equipment that provide high levels of
humidity (mainly the nebulizer) and prevents too much H20 from being delivered.
Small Bore Tubing ANS - connects to a flowmeter and can be used for oxygen or air
uses: connects to aerosol and medium concentration mask and nebulizer.
Wide Bore Tubing ANS - attaches to therapy that provides particulate water at a higher flow
-connects to aerosol mask
Face tent ANS - for delivery of particulate water to patients in a comfortable ways, mainly used for
patients who had oral or dental surgery. Note: if used in conjunction with an oxygen delivery system, the
FIO2 cannot be guaranteed.

Air-Entrainment Mask/ Venturi ANS - for delivery of specific concentrations of oxygen (24,31,35,40 and
50%). An air-entrainment collar (HUMIDITY CUP) enabled particulate water to be added using wide bore
tubing.

-numbers on white nipple connector determines amount of O2 needed
-clear piece is humidity cup to mix oxygen with room air. If patients grabs cup, too much pure oxygen
will be delivered.
