Can you edit case tracking events after they have been documented? ANS -Yes, use the All Events button



What does releasing orders do? ANS -Makes the orders active and able to be documented against. The
pharmacy can see the medications they need to prep and verify. Orders are also send to Pyxis. (Signed
orders are inactive until released)



What does Acknowledge Orders tab display? ANS -All new orders, whether they are newly placed, newly
modified, or newly discontinued



What does Acknowledging orders DO? ANS -Signifies that you have see the orders; doesn't actually DO
anything or make them active. It does make the icon go away to help you keep track of new
documentation.



Can you assign a patient to a bed before selecting their appropriate stage of care? ANS -No. Must
update phase of care first. Put in pre-op before assiging pre-op bed.



Are there icons to differentiate between patient-reported meds vs. prescription medications? ANS -YES!
You can see them on patient's home medication list. (Patient icon with talking bubble means patient
reported; house icon means prescription drug)



Do you need to document which diseases/conditions a patient's family doesn't have, i.e. all the
negatives? ANS -Only the pertinent/notable ones. You can always leave comments by right-clicking the
cell



Why would you Add Column vs. Insert Column (in flowsheet)? ANS -Add column for the current time;
insert column for a different time/in the past

document. It is important to do this for each of your patients. Esp. important if we are ever audited.

also Apply template to add other applicable templates to her plan. (ex. Perioperative Period/adult; there
are almost 400 total to choose from)
