 Wastewater from people's homes that can be recycled and put to good use. Uses

irrigate both food and non-food producing plants. The nutrients in the greywater(such
as phosphorus and nitrogen) provide an excellent food source for these plants.

Groundwater management

 The amount of groundwater being extracted can be monitored to ensure it is not
extracted faster than it is naturally replaced. Laws are passed to prevent this.
Preventing farmers from leaking toxic chemicals onto land e.g. fines

International agreements help to determine how much water each country gets if groundwater

supplies are shared.

Recycling and grey water

 Recycling water means taking water that has already been used and using it again.
