Role of First Aider - Answer--this is the first CC to arrive at the scene

casualty. If you're uncertain of the condition, state what you suspect or describe it
briefly.

-Action: What action is being taken by the CC. Advise the captain if using oxygen or
AED.

-Any assistance required e.g wheelchair assistance on arrival/ambulance ( Where AED
has been used, paramedics and relevant personnel must be advised.
-PA for medically qualified person (if necessary)
-move passengers away from the area (if necessary)
-Collect QRG

Role of Back Up - Answer--Immediately prioritise and collect relevant equipment: both
types of FAK, Portable oxygen and/or AED pack. Take it to first Aider

-Remain at the scene and provide assistance (e.g be on hand to open/locate any items
from the faks that may be required)

-If CPR is required:
-Take out the pocket mask and set up the AED while the first aider continues with CPR.
-Be ready to swap position with first aider, if necessary, when the device is assessing
heart heart rhythm, otherwise.
-Continue resuscitation following AED prompts.

like), often radiating down either arm, into the neck, jaw (more often the left side than
the right) and upper back. Often the worst pain the casualty has ever suffered.
-Difficulty in breathing.
-Ashen, cold and clammy skin.
-weak, rapid pulse.
-Nausea and vomiting.
-The casualty will be very frightened and may fear death
