Current Business Environment

Airbus SE is a large company that designs, manufactures, and delivers aerospace

products, services, and solutions. Their headquarters is in Leiden, Netherlands, but they are an

international company with roughly 180 locations and approximately 126,000 employees. Airbus

SE has three main segments: “Airbus, which engages in the development, manufacturing,

marketing and sale of commercial jet aircraft, aircraft conversion and related services; Airbus

Helicopters, which engages in the development, manufacturing, marketing and sale of civil and

military helicopters and the provision of helicopter related services; and Airbus Defense and

Space, which is organized in the following program lines, Military Aircraft, Space Systems,

Connected Intelligence, and Unmanned Aerial Systems.” (Mergent, 2022). These three segments

prove their primary customer base to be government and non-government businesses.
