registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; or
(B) is licensed or provisionally licensed as a dietitian under Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 701, and
has at least one year of supervisory experience in dietetic services within a healthcare setting.



Direct care by licensed nurses Direct care in accordance with the physician’s overall care plan for
the resident involves: (A) evaluating the resident’s health status; (B) planning the resident's care; (C)
assigning duties to facilitate the resident’s care; (D) implementing nursing interventions; and (E)
reassessing and modifying approaches as necessary.



Direct ownership interest Equity ownership in the capital, stock, or profits of, or a membership
interest in, an applicant or license holder.

who maintains an ongoing relationship with a resident, using the resident's resources for financial or
personal gain without obtaining the resident’s informed consent.



Fiduciary agent An individual who holds in trust another's monies.



Goals Long-term: general statements of desired outcomes. Short-term: measurable time-limited,
expected results that provide the means to evaluate the resident's progress toward achieving long-term
goals.



Incident An abnormal event, including accidents or injury to staff or residents, which is
documented in facility reports. An occurrence in which a resident may have been subject to abuse,
