Sulf Sulfamethoxazole-Trimethoprim/TMP-SMZ (Nursing Interventions) -
✔️✔️Administer with full glass of water 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals.
Increase fluid intake.
Monitor for sore throat, bruising, bleeding.
Monitor CBC.
Check for superinfection.
Advise client not to take with antacids.
Tell client to avoid direct sunlight.
Use alternate forms of OCP
Avoid OTC (asa, vit.C)
