forces were trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk while being bombed
and strafed by the Luftwaffe before being rescued by a flotilla of
military and civilian vessels.




Battle of Britain
10 July 1940-10 October 1941.The Luftwaffe attempt to destroy the
Royal Air Force and bomb British cities over the skies of Britain and
the English Channel. In the end the Luftwaffe are forced back by the
RAF and Operation Sea lion (the invasion of England) was canceled.
